Bad Hubs?
What are usual signs of the rear hubs going bad? I have this constant sound of metal rubbing against each other from the back. I've already changed my rotors and brake pads. I've also replaced my open differential with a VLSD unit. My next guess would be the hubs maybe? What do you guys think?

Take the wheel and rotor off and turn the hub slowly, listening for groaning noises directly from the bearing. You can also check for freeplay, if the hub moves up and down or side to side even a hair then it's blown.

Thank you guys for the responses. The ticking and clicking are the symptoms I'm experiencing. Well my junkyard 300zx hubs lasted a good 2 years. I got a price quote from courtesy for $128 each hub. Is this the best price or can they be found cheaper elsewhere?

You want to double check that first. New OE rears are sold as a bearing and hub separately, you'll need the bearings, not the hubs. You'll then need to press your existing hub out and back into the new bearing.

I have this issue now. Didnt noticed it till i was driving on the freeway way and i was hearing alot of noise toward my rear passenger side. First i thought it was tire noise since im running some brand new tires. Got home, lifter the rear, rocked my wheel and sure enough...had enough play that it almost seem like my lugs are loose. I ordered my bearings from some shop but i emailed courtesy nissan in TX and seems like theyre the cheapest one ive seen anywhere. Matt Alexander qouted me $97.70 over the email, just not sure if thats including shipping from TX to Cali.
