BKR7E-11 Normal
BKR6E-11 BKR5E-11 Cold Those are the NGK part numbers for the normal and next two colder heat ranges specified by nissan if I'm not mistaken. I'd recomend the normal or next colder plug if running mostly stock. The previous owner of my car ran it completely stock with heat range 5 platinum plugs and they were pretty fouled. I just removed the normal plugs I was running and replaced them with the next colder plug to compare but have not read them yet to see how the engine likes them. How spark plugs work I'd recomend reading this before playing around with heat ranges and as a general info since sprak plugs are fairly misunderstood (much of it due to the marketing by ignition companies).

![]() bkr5e-11 is stock...and as you increase the number, ie: bkr6e-11, bkr7e-11 you get a step colder each time..so bkr7e-11 would be 2 steps colder then bkr5e-11.. ![]() Last edited by nokeone; 08-08-2003 at 01:22 PM.. |

So to clarify, I am currently running BKR6E's, the BKR5E's that I replaced looked about textbook perfect when I pulled them (though they were about done mileage-wise), and the colder platinum plugs I originally replaced were heat range 7 and were fouled on my stock KA.
