FS/WTT: my sr20 for ur KA/-T

So today, about 35min ago to be exact I had the opportunity to be pulled over by a ridiculous bike cop for failing to signal a left turn and having clear tails on my coupe. That then turned into my exhaust being to loud(3" cat back to aspec blastpipes....I know right! Fail on my part but whatever), to sir ur exhaust is to loud I have probable cause to ask u nicely to pop ur hood. I then complied with the chode... He obviously did not know what an sr is but he saw that I have a bov(didn't know what it was) and my intercooler piping from the intake. Everything else pretty much looks stock. But anyways aside from my lame story I was issued a reff ticket(he stated for illegal header, etc even though it's a stock mani lol).... What I would like to do is sell or trade my setup. I have yet to call the referee to schedule my apt yet but I need to get it done asap.

What I got:

sr20 redtop (72,000miles on it)
mobile 1 synthetic every 3k (have papers)
T25 just replaced about a 2weeks ago(no shaftplay)
has big blitz fmic and all piping
apexi BOV
Meagan racing 3inch downpipe

only prob with the SR as of right now is a mani stud broke when changing the turbo n I needed the car to be in running cond at the time so it has a small exhaust leak from no stud. I have a new one that I will install upon the motor being pulled. And the fan is chewed up a bit but I will include a 16" electric fan and switch. Other than that it runs perfect and pulls like any other stock sr

looking to get $1,650.00 obo

or

would consider a straight up trade for a Dual cam KA with all smog parts included and cash on your end or a mild KA-t setup with whatever parts u have to convert back to stock.

Thanks for looking.... Don't nuke my thread, if my offer isn't for u then don't waste the 3 min of ur life to reply with nonsense and hit send, just move on! Thanks....

PM or call or text for a faster response

661-400-6774 Steve
The last few pics are from the turbo being swapped out with a fresh t25

If you have tools to pull this... I take it you would have tools to drop another one in =)

Does that 1650 include trans/wire harness?

I'd be willing to pay you 1900, plus throw in a dual cam ka(no trans but 160 compression across the board), if you would be willing to drop the sr into my ride.

PM me if interested.

If this is your first REF ticket.. Just pay the fine and get a stealthy looking / quite exhaust. Save the trouble... State just wants your money.. That's CALI drift tax.

I'm pretty sure there should just be a fine on there...

What is going to happen, is a ticket should come in the mail, informing you to pay/go to court?

Is this incorrect?

Check it!

CA State Ref Ticket - Honda-Tech
Idk man even on there ppl say u can just pay it n others say u can't. It's krazziness. I know it's my fault for having a nodded car but idt a cop should be able to right a ticket for something he had no clue of what he was looking at. He put in perenthasis "HEADER'S"(because I have more than 1 and it obviously didn't look like a stock cast iron mani lol) and etc cus he didn't know what was going on under the hood. Headers, etc! Cmon now

ok i have to say this in my drunken stat... headers inplies multiple exhaust manifolds and i'm thinking on that sr20 you have 1 tubbo header. ls1=2 headers chevy 350=2headers ka and sr20=1 header... haha ok so read it and ka+sr20 together equals 2.. leave it alone peoples

And Idw to trade the at but nobody seems to have a straight answer as to what is gonna happen. Half the ppl say pay the fine n go others say u can't do that n blah blah so idk man lol

why don't you just call up the court, dmv, or whatever place that you would go to pay that ticket in your state and ask. I can't imagine them having a rule saying that you can't just pay the fine since its much easier and much more profitable for the state to just take your money then to waste their time to inspect your car and taking the chance of not getting anything in return if the cop was wrong. I agree with the statement "they just want your money". Tickets are just another way the state or county collects revenue. What would happen if you just said F**k it and didn't do anything about it? I usually just forget about tickets until they send me a letter saying they will suspend my license if I don't do something about it, and at that point they usually send me an invoice saying how much I owe them, lol.

Yea I'm going to hit them up tomorrow for sure. If it's that simple as to just pay it off then kool. But it's just mixed info n ppl going back n forth. If there's anyone who's been reffed within the last like 2 months let me know cus ppl keep telling me they changed the laws n r gonna take my money n still inspect my car. I know this topic has been beat to death but if the law has been changed than hopefully someone can set it straight. Thanks

See logically that doesn't make any sense. The fine is IF you are violating state smog laws.

The reason you go to the REF is to make sure that you aren't violating any laws. My friend has an RSX and I actually went with him to the REF, after he got pulled over for intake/exhaust. Everything checked out at the ref. He paid the ref the required 10 dollar test fee(well I spotted him, and he bought me lunch), and then we drove home happy. All he had to do was take the ticked to the court, and show it was signed off.

No biggy. It makes no sense, and would be illegal to charge you a fine for something you weren't doing. So if anything... it's going to be one of two cases:

Case 1: You CANNOT pay any fine for whatever reason the court won't let you, you are REQUIRED to get reffed and pass.

Case 2: You pay the fine, and walk away broke and happy.

Let's hope for

Here's a few 's. I habnt called the ref yet. Can I wait for the ticket to arrive in the mail before calling them or is there a requirement to call them. Also, what r the pics the officer took used for. He took 1 of the rear plate and 1 of the engine? R they sent to the ref or.... A guy told me he got refed in his coupe with an sr and since they only record ur plate number on the ticket and that it was a black coupe, his friend with a stock black hatch switched plates and he took it to the ref as his own and passed? Not saying I would ever consider doing this or anything.. But is this even possible. Do they not really check n just want u to pay some sort of anything?

thought this was a FS/WTT thread lol.... Bro just call them and ask them. I got a modified exhaust ticket (non reff) and was told that I need to fix it and get it inspected. When I recieved the letter in the mail it said the same thing that I had to get it inspected.... Then I tried to pay for it over the phone through the automated service and it didnt give me an option to pay for the ticket... So I spoke to a respresentative at the court and guess what she said? she said that I could just pay for the fine and wouldnt have to take it to get inspected. Ofcourse it would have been way cheaper then to fix it but its to much of a hassle... Suck it up deal with it those are the things people gota deal with with moded cars. GL

So can the Op pay for the fine as soon as he receives the ticket over the phone or does he have to wait for the letter in the mail? And can he drive the car while the ref ticket is unpaid?

Just wait for the ticket and see what it says. Then call the court see what they say. State of CA is so broke right now they don't mind you just paying the ticket. But be ready for a whopping price. NOT CHEAP AT ALL. ask me why I know? Cuz I got 2 of those bastards in the span of 3 mos.
