![]() Hey all, I'm researching how to prep and paint a spare valve cover that I have and I have question's for folk's with experience.
Most places recommend using chemicals to strip the valve cover of its finish (though some say sandpaper and a brush). I have no qualms buying the chemicals to do it, but I already have access for a very cheap price to a sandblaster. I've never used a sandblaster but if I just sandblast the cover from the start (after I degrease it) will I need to use a chemical stripper or will the blaster do the job? When I get the valve cover prepped I just want to paint the raised portions in stock red and clear coat the whole thing (with dupli-color high heat clear-coat). Can anyone recommend a brush on high temp paint that comes in stock cherry red ![]() I've found a lot of info on google and other 240sx sites but nothing that answer's these specific questions so far. Thanks in advance for any help provided.
