yet another wiring question
when your wiring the dash wire connector, and your connecting the ground (black) wire, i found a solid black 16gauge wire, and 2 other 18gauge wires w/ silver markings, not stripes, but the only other black wire on the part i have to connect it is black w/ silver markings, i connected it w/ the solid black 16 gauge.. or shuold i connect it w/ the one that looks the exact same?

Hey Man...how ya been?
Ground equals ground. Ground wires do not have to have specific points to ground too. When I do a swap..I will make a dedicated ground buss (since ground wires are a major percentage of swap troubleshooting) and ground everything via separate wire to that spot. It is called star grounding and is most effective. Just make sure the wire is supposed to be a ground. You can fuse or breaker the ground buss incase you fuk up as well! |
