RB25 arp stud installation ?
Ok I just want some feedback on the installation of my arps head studs on my rb25.So after reading arp's instructions it says to install the studs hand tight(into the block) and to apply the provided lubricant on the washer studs and washers and to tighten in 3 equal steps to 80ft/lbs per fsm spec. Now what I did is install the studs hand tight into the block with no lube on the block side of the stud, drop the head onto the block, apply lube to the washers and the inside of the nut and torqued it down to 26ft/lbs then 52, and finally 80. I am the paranoidal type so i called arp to verify and he said I installed it correctly but i want a second opinion before I drop the engine into the car. Did I install it correctly?

did you put moly lube on the threads before you hand tightened the studs into the block ?
other then that it sounds like you did it right.

The threads that went into the block didn't get any lube. Would it be safe to leave the head on the block and remove the studs and redo everything ? I knew you had to put lube on the threads going into the block but I listened to the arp dude. Yes he told me to only put lube on the side that the nuts go on to.

You are fine, you don't need lube on the threads that go into the block (just tighten till they stop finger tight or so).. Only the threads with the nut and washer need lube..
