Just replaced mine yesterday- NGK BKR6E1X

I had a misfire under load/ boost, and once I replaced the plugs it's running better than ever!

I hear that you can go to a 7E1X if you're running more than 14-ish psi of boost- search around for confirmation on that.

These are Iridium plugs, so be ready to pay $6-8 per plug- but it's worth it, as the Iridiums are supposed to hold up to high heat better than standard copper plugs. Good luck!

Spark plugs

Yeah 6 is next but I heard if your car is like a daily driver and not heavily modded that the 6 plugs will foul out or get messed up and thows iridiums ain't cheap.

I thought stock was 6? 1 step colder for every 100hp.

Personally, I use BKR6E-11. Copper core V-power. They're only like $2 a plug so you can change them at every oil change.

Higher # = colder plug. Factory heat range is 6. I'm using 7s. People debate on whether 6s or 7s are better for a mostly stock motor with a few bolt-ons (exhaust/FMIC/small boost increase), but a 7 definitely won't hurt anything.

If you change your spark plugs often, you may as well save your money and just buy copper plugs rather than iridium. They actually produce a slightly better spark than iridiums or platinums, they just need to be changed more often.
