s13. Water in air intake.

Hey guys,

The other day I noticed my car's throttle response was awful. So I checked somethings. I opened up the airbox, and wow. My air filter was completely black and just SOAKED. So I bought a new filter, well lo and behold, its getting to that point of black/wet again. Where the hell could the water be coming from? There are no holes in the airbox, and water residue. Only way I can see, is through the cold air intake part that came stock. Something in there broken?

Suggestions/Advice please.

weird this one might be beyond me but i would guess the same as you. The little resonator area for your air box may be sucking in water but the thing is water would have to be in that area of your car first...

hmmm, don't think thats normal for the car in stock trim, no matter what the climate condition is.
my guess is there is one of the pipe that goes to your intake is spitting that into the filter. Or there is a crack/leack on the intake duct so that the water enters easily.

maybe it.s a crack but I would say it's the little black box that is connected to the air box... It's used to get some fresh air into the exhaust to help the cat to do it's work, if there something wrong with it or just that it's block or too dirty, you could get something like this... it never really happend to me but I would watch this, just to make sure!
