All I see on ebay is 300+ exhaust housing and 200+ compressor housing combined that's more than what they are new?

that was with google in half a second...that's not even counting if you can find them used in good condition. Twin scroll housings are hard to find...t3 housings can be found cheap usually it's just how much you search and what kind of outlet you're wanting.
