Question about KA Turbo - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

This question is for guys/ladies who have a turbo KA. Did you guys remove the swirl control from the intake manifold? Does removing this have any influence on performance (positive or negative)?

Elimating the butterfly valves would allow more air into the IM.  Boosted cars might benefit more from such a mod, although your low-end will suffer a bit.

If the valve is vacuum actuated, just disconnect the line to the diaphram, and plug it up.

I was thinking about removing it when I rebuild the engine for turbo.
