So I've been on here for awhile and haven't seen anyone complain about the goddamn rubber grommet that holds the fill neck to the body. Third s14 I've owned with this problem. Will a new one hold it better?

theyre notorious for a crack in the tank where the strip attaches are you sure thats not your problem

If there was a crack in the tank it would leak when it was full right? What happens is the rubber grommet pops loose everytime I put the gas pump in the hole. Very annoying.

make sure its all bolted up, the only time i had this problem is when the filler neck wasnt bolted to the inner fender

When it's not in the grommet it can move back and forth about a .5 inches. But I cannot move it in and out.
