Ok i feel like a retard right about now but im in need of some help. I was cutting the inserts out of my rear subframe and came down to the last one...new blade an all, and well......I accidentally cut through the sleeve. Am i fucked or can i just weld it and still pop in my SPL Aluminum Spacers??? If iam then i guess i just blew $100

You better have a pro weld it. Cast iron is no joke.

If you want to wing it, make sure to really preheat the area before welding.

I think that would depend on how the sleeve looks. Pretty hard to tell you without pictures.

I'd probably have your buddy try to fix it, you've got nothing to lose.

I think you mean aluminum solid bushings, not spacers???
If you can weld it back, then yeah, no need for a new one.
But pictures would help.

I showed it to one of the welders here (I work in a metal shop).
He said, is your life worth $100?
It's possible to weld but hard to say if it will hold.

Totally agree. Thats 100% fixable by any welder. No need to reinforce it, a strong weld will be fine.
