Motul Tranmission Fluid

Recently bought some Motul Motylgear 75W90 Gearbox/Differential Oil. I had planned to use AMSOIL 75w90 because it was specifically GL-4, as I heard GL-5 can harm the transmission of my car specifically the yellow metal syncro. (98 240sx stock KA motor / tranny). So instead I bought some Motylgear and found out its both GL-4 and GL-5. o_O

Was wondering if anyone has used this motylgear 75w90 gearbox / diff oil and if its GOOD and wont damage syncros. I plan to use this in my transmission and vlsd. The store owner I bought it from said it would be fine as he ran it before, I just want some confirmation. Thanks

(Also not to be confused with motylgear 300 75w90, which is not the one I got)

motul oil

i was using the motul gear 300 75/90 in my tranny but since my local shop was out of stock. I recently switched to the motul multigear 75/90 out of convience. i wasnt really sure about this oil, so i called up motul and talked to one of their reps. they told me that the multigear 75/90 was ok to use.

as for the diff, i have a mechanical lsd so i use the Motul 90PA, which like the kaaz oil is mineral based. not sure what oil to use for a vlsd, though. perhaps give motul a call.

Coolios! Thanks for the reply, was waiting for some answers xD

Do you run a ka24de transmission also? If so I guess the motylgear 75w90 would be fine if motul says it is, do you know what number I can call to confirm it is okay for the vlsd also? Thanks

I have a ka24e tranny. I called this number, 909-625-1292, its for the Motul branch located in Pomona, California. Ask to speak to a tech.
