Name this wheel.
I bought these wheels really cheap off a friend, i know they're BBS cuz thats what they say, but they dont' fit over the hub on my 240, so i'm gonna try and sell them, but in order, i need to know what kind of BBS wheels they are.

As far as Alta is concerned, any mesh wheel that you don't know the model name for is just referred to as "supermesh".
You could just grind down the inside of the hub to get a near-hubcentric wheel... but that'd be the ghetto way to do it. ![]() |

would it still make the wheel safe. cuz i really like these wheels, and i'd hate to have to give them up, considering how great of a deal i got.
also, what about taking a dremel and grinding a MM out or so evenly all around so that it fits over. would that affect safety. i think it may affect teh wheel balance though |

You can always use wheel weights to offset the ballance issue...

I just dremeled out the hub on a different set of wheels to fit on my 240.. Works fine, no balancing issues. Took a little bit since the material is so strong but I found that if you work around the edge with a cutting wheel it goes MUCH faster.
I cannot tell from the pics how much material you have to work with but I can tell you that on a normal wheel it will not jeprodize the integrity of the wheel if you're only taking out a millimeter or so.. |

Yup, they are old school BBS RS. I have a set of 15"'s and 17"'s of those. Great wheels. What size/offset are they? They should say right where the lug holes are.

i know they are 15x6.5 running 205's. if i can get them to work, i'd like to keep them. maybe sell them later on, but assuming they work, not yet. i'll take a look at them when i get home from school.

Lots of cars have rims like that, I think miatas came with something similar to that. But the vert FC wheels weren't 4x114.3 and either were the miatas.
