KA engine problem.... need help

this is on my zenki.

was going on for couple of days. while punching it beyond 3k the car revs but wont pull hard for a few seconds, rpm jump up down slightly and the car stinks with rotten/eggs/tomato smell VERY bad. i narowed it out down to 3 things i will take care of as soon as i get that ****ing paycheck...

1) running to rich so the cat cant filter out sulfur smell. Why the **** then its running rich?? --->2) Clogged fuel filter? or 3) Failing fuel pump?

please guys help this is very frustrating/disguisting.

Check your Engine Temp Sensor (aka Collant Temp Sensor). Its less than $20 bucks.

Before you skip from injectors to pump, check the fuel filter and FPR as well. Cant go from one extreme to the other.

if it smells bad then it is most likely your cat. However this is probably not related to your other problems... . Hope all is well.

Are you sure your clutch isn't totally shot? If it revs and doesn't go anywhere and smells like sulfer, you're probably burning the sh|t outta your clutch.

I don't think having a messed up cat would make your car rev and not go anywhere.

it hesitates. if you ever took off in 2nd gear from start yull know, it revs like its about to jump and then it does. in my case it revs but pushes very slowly, sometimes rpm slip about 2k rpm followed by sulfur/rotten egg/tomato smell... yuck.

do the flywheel while you have the tranny off. Go ahead and change the slave cylinder (if its the original it will probably blow soon anyway) and bleed the clutch system.

the shifter can wait till later because you don't have to drop the tranny for that. but dropping the tranny is a bitch so get all your eggs in one basket while you are doing that.
