KA Tranny makeing funny sounds

every time i start my car, right before it turns over there is this "loose" sound comming from the transmission, sounds like something is broken or loose, (could it be the fly wheel?) i've recently replaced the starter and tranny fluid, i'm thinking that i might not have put enough fluid in the transmission, maybe that is why the shifts are kind of sticky, and maybe it's damaging something, that why the cause of the "loose" sound... does anybody know how much tranny fluid i am suppose to have in the tranny? most people say just fill until the fill hole drips.. but i couldn't get the fill hole plug off so i filled the fluid through the shifter.... it was a lot of problems... so i can't tell if it's full or not... anybody with the information please pass it on... thanks for reading...
