OMG sr20det question!!!!
ok, i have done a search here as well as on google for my following question
i DO know the specs for the sr20det engines now, i was originally looking into an sr20det engine from an s14 because of the more HP and variable valve timing but i was just told that the s13 redtop/blacktop engines have more potential and are usually a better buy .... http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...2&page=1&pp=15 this thread gave some insight, but how true is it?? is the s13 THE buy??? one gentlemen's point was that the money i saved from an s13 sr20det, i could use towards some other modifications to make the s13 sr20det faster .... what are you guys' take on this??? TIA |

OMG this is so important you have to say OMG to suck people into reading it! haha
Anyways, potential is the same in the end. Mildly modded the S14 SR will have slightly more hp. S13 SR's are cheaper, not sure if i'd call it a better buy but cheaper yes.

VTC Is definitely fun, good torque on the low end, and then the boost hits - makes for a very smooth powerband & ride
See if you can get a ride on one of each to feel for yourself s13 / s14 SR's that is |
