what the differences between se and le?  i have been looking at different 240sxs and i see alot of LEs and "coupes" but hardly any SEs.  Is one better than the other?  also why is it so hard to find a 5speed i havnt found any s14 manuals in my area in any of the classifieds.

a le is an se with leather seats

and std VLSD, ABS, sunroof, prem sound sys, all the options..... they could be ordered on an se but stk on the le

LE has power antenna, security system, leather, and keyless entry.  I looked across the nation to find my 5 speed.  It sucked!  I never saw a non-black 5 speed LE.  And I looked across the USA, for around a year.  A rare find indeed!

True, unless it's an S14... =)

My 97 has leather, upgraded sound.... but no ABS and no VLSD. .

    I agreed with you... I thougt that was the case... because I had seen LE's without that... and every website I've seen said that those were an option.  Thanks for confirming!!

     The reason your has leather is because it's probably an SE right?  You could get a 97 SE with leather because the LE didn't come out at the same time... the LE was a mid-year rollout from what I know.  I speak for the year of my car (1998) were the options were very set.

As soon as I got it home I had gone to the factory to buy my power antenna...  it was pretty easy to install.  And the wires are already ran in the SE (kinda)  I'm so glad I didn't get upgraded sound... what does that consist of?  Premium sound is just a bigger pain in the ass when you do your system!! Mine was thankfully simple!!
