s14 S14 Guys!Drivers Side Wiring relocation

Ok so now that i've slammed the car well.... my harness is getting fucked by the tire. I've searched around on build threads and wheel fitment whore thread but didn't find many pictures regarding the relocation of the harness.
So can any of you guys post pics of how you re-routed the harness so i can get ideas? I'll appreciate it. Thanks.

Its SUPER easy!! =] just remove the Driver side fender and you could drill severall holes alongside the side of the fender rail and ziptie the harness in several locations as long as the tire dozent rubb away at the harness it should all be good and put fender back on =] DONE!

Wrong section but take your fender off. remove some of the clips in the engine bay to get some slack. secure it above the frame thingy. attach fender.

if you want to get real hood cut a little triange in the section in front of your door and loop it out there.

I put a plate over mine.

Ok,well i've removed some of the clips and was able to zip-tie the harness with existing holes(only pushed the harness up a bit). How can i be able to do what Rene said if i can't get more lenght from the harness.

I can't be able to move up the back half of the harness. Thanks Yvang i'll take a look at that.

Oh and sorry about the wrong section, mods can you be able to move it to the proper section.

EDIT:Ok i kinda get the idea by the video. But if anyone has pics of their own "custom" work feel free to share.

do not cut anything.

open up your fusebox and you'll see that it can be disassembled into "blocks" or sections. undo your harness plus and start pulling it out of the car starting at the fusebox until you get to the rubber grommet on your firewall. at that point you'll have like 6' of harness wire sticking out of your wheel well. re-feed it through that small triangular hole and it'll be good to go. you have to cut 1-2 of the bigger gauge wires to do this as one of hte blocks doesn't fit through the triangular hole very easy.

that probably doesn't make sense written but once you see it you'll "shit bricks" i guess? iunno at that point its easier to keep the fusebox inside the car and just run headlight wires back out front

Check out what this guy did. I had to raise the front on my S14 due to my harness getting all jacked up, i'm thinking about doing the same thing and slamming the mo'fo once again.

I just did this shit tonite and it was fun if you've never done it before. Shit was a pain in the arse...take all the plastic trim off around the fuse box, around the steering wheel and then take off the gauge cluster. Once you get everything off, you'll have to take the radiator overflow off, slide the harness into the engine bay, move the harness to the front of it (taking the hard plastice L would help), make the hole bigger and slide everything back in. I cut the wrap off the harness that would be going over the strut tower and retaped it flat.

Its a chassis harness, not engine harness so its there even if you decide to do an LS7 swap.

Rough draft of what to do, this was my first attempt before I depinned all my harness.

Now it looks super good. But I don't have any pics.

But you get the idea.

I actually did it exactly the same way as in the video without watching the video. It just seemed to make sense that way, but doing it the Dan at psm did it cutting in the notch seems to make much more sense if you do not want to see the loom in the engine bay.

Dan's method on his S15 is the best imo. I did't cut mine quite as deep but it doesn't burn through wire anymore thank god.

Lights, and horn wiring, everything else is inside the car.

All S-chassis has this issue, even the S15s. S13s have the worst of everything up front. Between the wiring, the fucking metal tabs on top of the wheel well that loves to eat your tires, and the small ass wheel well that seems to hate anything bigger than 17s.

Like I was saying, I just did the relocation last night but I noticed a couple of weird things. My power locks stopped working and the tone that usually turns on when you shut off the car with your headlights on stopped working. I looked at the fuse box real quick and theres nothing in there about power locks. Did I popped a fuse or forgot to plug something?

So after 2 hours and a pain on my back i was finally able to fix this. I did the same thing from the pictures i posted and also took the idea of the max s15.

No need to worry about it anymore. Sorry i don't have pictures as i didn't take any (dur). But once she goes to paint and i get a new fender ill try and snap a few.
