HELP my ka powered s14 got stuck in 3rd while drifting
its an auto
tranny fluid is full
now the car will go from 1st to 2nd and 3rd, but no 4th
and there is almost no pickup and the fan if making a huge whooshing noise!
i want to do a 5 speed swap, but is my engine messed up now too?
or should i just take it to a nissan dealer and just tell them to fix it...

oh yea, now it will get stuck in 3rd every once in a while driving good ->still the fan is making that loud wooshing noise - haha its a supercharger- no not really- maybe the fan clutch and the belt?

ha fixed the fan with 2 new electric fans- work great...
still...poor tranny

Take it to a dealership. When I get home tonight I might try to look something up for you in my FSM. My friends Celica did something like that except it wouldn't downshift to 1st if you had it in Drive. It turns out that he had a hairline crack in the tranny and one day it just gave out and now it won't hold fluid at all.

fixed it...
it was a bad relay all along

i have this problem every so often as well... funky relays in wiring... doh
