noob here and i stripped almost all my bolts on the valve cover when i took it off...

I read on other threads and everyone recommends to use helicoil or re-tap it. I'd prefer to re-tap it since it sounds cheaper
Now my question is...

How exactly do i re-tap? What exactly do i need and what size bolts should i use?

Buy a tap and die set..... 12$ harbor freight.
