![]() Ok, I just saw this on Enjuku Racing, available in 1-2 weeks
Description: Greddy TD06S Turbo Kit Nissan 240sx 95-98. Full Bolt-On Turbo kit Includes: Cast manifold, Greddy 20G Actuator Style Turbo, Larger 370cc Top-feed Injectors w/ hi-flow fuel rail, preprogrammed E-Manage Piggy back computer, Airnix Air intake system, and all necessary piping, couplings, oil lines, heat-shields, & Hardware necassary for installation. At about 6psi of boost, this Greddy 20G turbo matches well with the large 2.4L engine to produce a responsive, smooth, and linear 210hp with lots of torque. Please, someone tells me this is for real...Please... |

Bout damn time, I dont think 3000 is too expensive, you are getting a whole kit that is CARB legal which is especially nice for us Californians.

Umm....would that fit on the DOHC S13 KA? If not...why? Any idea if the manifold will be available outside of the kit?? 370cc injectors....is this a "stage 1" kit or something?

I'm no expert on turbo set ups and what not so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what do they mean by "linear"?
And is that 210hp to the wheels or to the crank? How much more power do you think it could make with a fmic, full 3 inch down pipe, and 3 inch exhaust? 225hp maybe? Last edited by revat619; 08-28-2003 at 07:27 AM.. |

Linear means it has a flat HP curve, not peaky like a vtec motor.
like this / instead of _) I'd like to know how much boost the system is running by default..

it will be nice if you can buy pieces off of the kit. Like the preprogramed piggy back e-manage system.

210 hp, seems kind of weak as compared to some of the other turbo kits avaliable for our cars. Hmm, I wonder what the max hp that puppy will make.

now we'll just have to wait and see if it's legal, if not, it's just another kit in addition to nsport/xs/fmax...
all this turbo talk makes me want to go get one, maybe fab a ghetto version from the yard, or if anyone is selling a complete ghetto kit for the ka24de... |

hrmm..after a lot of thinking. i kinda think this GReddy kit isnt worth the money.
why? well the kit cost 3000 no IC. IC kits cost ~800 bucks knockin the final price to 3800. also this kit comes with a smaller turbo whereas.. fmax/XS etc is ~3900 comes with IC and comes with a bigger turbo i mean they eventually come out to be approx. the same price. might as well go with fmax/XS since they have a bigger turbo in the kit wat do you people think about this..about wat ive thought about i mean |

My ideal kit on a KA-T budget would be:
$600 rebuilt T04B (50 series, .82 AR, stage 3 wheel) $350 secondhand Revhard manifold $500 72lb injectors $300 intercooler + piping (guy on ebay who makes nice ones) $100 walbro fuel pump $500 JWT ECU $450 Ross pistons (saw some on ebay for $400 brand new) $200 guages (3 non-top-of-the-line gauges) $300 KA rebuild kit (just a guess) $300 new aftermarket clutch $200 Odds n' ends _____________ $3800 For $3,800 I can have much more if I do it myself...and I'll have an engine with Zero miles. Maybe I missed some things, but....for this price Im getting much more than that Greddy kit....and the CARB legal sticker doesnt apply to me...thankfully. -m |

Well...I could make my own downpipe....and I could do the hoses/clamps, oil lines, thermal wrap and homemade downpipe for $200 under the odds n ends category...but you are right I forgot wastegate and bov. I'd get a used HKS SSQ off ebay for $100 and a new Tial wastegate for $200....bringing the grand total to $4,100.
