Help please! Need "alternator pigtail"!?!? - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

I was told I need an alternator pigtail for my 96' 240sx but no one I've talked to seems to know what that is exactly.
The dealership told me the only way to get one is to buy a complete wiring harness which is 400.00 for parts alone.

I try researching online with no luck, it always brings up wiring for stereos for some reason.

After marker or used parts will be considered.

So you dont have the 2 wire big clip that connects to the alternator?,is it damaged?just go to the junk yard,pull one from any 240sx make sure you cut it off with enough pigtails(wires)and use that.theyre also the same for most imports,even some domestics,and rewire it to your harness

I cannot find a 240 at a junk yard here and I'm not sure of the specifics on the
Motor, i know its a manual 4cl but its not the original motor, the
Car has been totaled and restored.

How does that make any sense! You cant give something to someone then charge them for it plus shipping on top! I think you want to sell it to him/her for $10, plus shipping!
