(for sale is this s15 vlsd. i bought my car and the previous owner told me it was a s15 diff. came out of my s14 meaning it has a s14 diff cover. it has a 6 bolt axle patter. i also have 6 bolt axles for sale. )

Where in IL are you?

Are you sure its a VLSD, and not a HLSD? I haven't heard of S15's with VLSD (but I can be wrong)
EDIT: looks like auto S15's had VLSD

Can you remove the cover and snap a photo.

I'm interested if its a HLSD!

And its good timing because I need a new driveshaft soon.

(HAHA when you Google "s15 vlsd" it auto corrects it to "s15 hlsd")

i really have no proof of it being a s15 diff, or whether its a hlsd or vlsd. thats what the old owner of my car told me. i also heard s15 diff's have that sensor in the front. come check it out, i don't want to open it up. I'm about 25 mins away from woodfield mall.

because its of a s15 not a s13 or s14.

That could just be an ABS sensor and not the s15 speed sensor so it could be from a J30 or s14 with ABS.

Uhhh, the one in that link is a helical LSD, not a viscous , aka VLSD.

Are you aware of the difference between an HLSD and a VLSD?

That's most likely a J30 VLSD. Still a good upgrade over open, but not worth the asking price. GLWS

sorry to disapoint you guys, i took this to touge factory, and they told me it was a viscous s14 abs diff. sorry for the misunderstanding. i had said i had no proof of it being a s15 diff thats just what the previous owner told me. so up for sale for 200 obo. locals welcomed.
