SR20DET Turbo, test pipe, and cold pipe - AZ240SX.org Forums

right now im running a Gt2871r and love it. but ive heard that this KKK turbo is pretty nasty. But also heard it can be slightly laggy.
Anyone on here running one and would get rid of a gt2871r for it?
Im looking to make around 350hp

I think it's safe to say that Cody has had his fair share of experience in this field.

A long time ago with VW's we used to mess around with custom housing/custom setup KKK's...they always made good power, but by the time you swapped flanges around, and adapted to your setup it always cost the same/more than the traditional Garrett flanged stuff.

Is the KKK stuff capable of more power on the HUGE end of thigns? Maybe....but the 2871r bolts up and rock and rolls from the get go. That's a huge difference to me, as who wants to goof around changing flanges.

Also, the K26s are non-ball bearing iirc, similar to a TD06-20G.
