Pathfinder 4.6 final drive in a s13

Well I've been trying to research and I just seem to get more confused since majority of people haven't actually installed it just posting what they think. So I just want to get a straight answer on this subject.(Is the r&p a direct swap???)The main concern I have is if the stock output shafts will work since the pathfinder is 31 or 33 spline and I think 240s are 30 so I need someone to verify that info. I plan on swapping a 4.6 from a early 90's pathfinder in just needing some extra info on this subject ( ring gear bolts 12/13 mm???). some models came with the 4.3 and only the front diff is a r200 model so you have to go by vin number if you want the 4.6.

Also wanted to know if you can use the stock s13 shims?

ring and pinion are a direct swap. splines dont matter for the axles since your swapping the ring and pinion only.

i have 4.90's sitting that i was going to use in a ka24e for a missile but i sold the car ... wanna buy 4.90's haha

Sorry to thread jack man but you sound like you know (more or less) about this so I'll ask.

I'm picking up a shimmed R200V wth unknown gear ratio. If it's <4.1, can I pull the ring and pinion out of my stock open differential to put in my R200V? That might be a dumb question, I don't know anything about diffs.

You have to shim the diff up, but the R&P goes into a RWD R200.

I know this would throw your speedo and odo out of wack but will it also affect the tach?
Thanks for the info I should be picking up a pathfinder 4.6 from pick and pull for $50
