what is threaded section on a t28 used for

Stupid question im sure but what is the threaded hole on the front of the t28's compressor housing used for? is it for like a bracket or something because it doesnt look like it goes all the way into the housing.

Pt.2 people with KA's using a t28 where did you run your boost source for your wg from. i was thinking about picking one of theses up

My gtir t28 has that to Im sure it was for some type of bracket.

As far as getting a boost source theres a crap ton on the intake manifold already all the metal lines on the bottom for emmissions can be used for that
