sr ecu on ka-t

Im looking at cheaper ecu options for ka-t and while looking at the ecu pin outs on a sr ecu both red and black top with the ka pin outs, it seem doable really. Seen vid on a a ka running off a sr ecu with out cop, seen one w/cop.

So anyways im looking at both pin out for sr and ka ever sensor/switch/power are all the same color code, so wireing is supper easy. the only thing i dont get is the camshaft position sensor, 4 pins total 2 reference signal and 2 position signals on ka ecu. on sr theres 3 cam angle sensors 2 180* signal and 1 1*signal.

Not looking to run cop, main interest is using the sr ecu for its tuneable fuel/timming maps, this way its cheaper as i can find sr ecu for about 100$ rather dash out the cost of my rent.

any options on this? i goggled this for 3 hrs and not alot of info, there was a guy on aem forums running apexi pfc for a s13 sr on his s14 ka-t.

I been DD 7psi on a rebuild ka for about 3k miles on my s14 w/safc/wideband and never over 3k rpm, i really wanna open it up. I did have a s13 nistune but i sold it for cheap as i sold my s13 for the s14. Found out month later i could of made a harness to use it. so this is an option till i find nistune or a tuned ecu for a s14 ecu for my set up for a good deal

What turbo set are you going to run? Why not do a daughterboard.
$50 bucks for the board
$5 bucks for the chips.
Go to ka-t.com for more info on tuning options.

Safc is tuned already.

Shoguner where can I find this daughter board at? I looked at kat.org already about tunning. Just can not find a DB for a 95obd1 ecu that's wat is holding me back. Already did my reading on eproms and running tuner pro.

So if u can provide a site to buy this daughter board that be great

I haven't seen this question asked in a while.

It's possible but you still have to tune it so you'd be taking a step back.

Chip what you've got (nistune, socket/board/burn, whatever). ECU's already set up for your parts/goals go weekly in the classifieds as well.

Nistune is ur best option below a standalone im running a nistune ka-t ecu on my sr20de-t..works fine...u could use a s13 sr20de ecu
i kno for sure the stock fuel maps in this ecu are set richer then the ka24de ecu maps...
U can do the chip in ecu ur self but getting someone to tune it can cost
enthalpy is a good ecu setup...a bit cheaper then nistune
but its a set tune...
Whereas nistune is live tuning
