Right now i'm planning to get some Axis wheels.. 17 inches, but i'm worrying about whether or not 17 is big enough. what i really want is 18's, but Axis doesn't make an 18 inch model of this wheel (The NE-O)...but would 19's fit?

One thing i've really been worrying about is how easy it is to hurt 19's with that small sidewall, i mean could i dent them just hitting a nasty pothole, or what?

I just don't want to get 17's and wind up being really disappointed if they just seem too small, 19's would be about $600 more.

17's too small? You'll be running about a 40 aspect ratio tire with 17's. I think that's big enough. 19's are going to be a CRAPPY ride, and slow as #### if you can even get them to fit.

That's what I'm saying. A 240 is pretty small car...19's would just look #### gaudy. 17's max....maybe 18's if it's a show car.

!9s will fit an s13 because there is an owner running them on the UK board.I don't know if he's modded the arch lips to clear them tho. I think you have to be really careful about your choice of wheel if you do run 19s. He has Team Dynamics Diablos on his and I think they suit the car but some rims would look horroble in that size and dominate the car. And with regards to the ride issue, I know a chap with an s14 running 19s and he says they're fine, they tramline a bit but so do my 18s. Hope that helps.

17's are big enough ... just find ones that are wide and that have a lip with some nice tires on them ... it will give the impression that they are bigger.

17s would be fine, 18s would be nicer, but 19s are just too much!!!

take the 17s and be happy!

19 is ridiculous unless its on a show car. i think even 17 is on the large side, unless its an s14

i know 19's will fit s14 because i remember a goldenrod sr20det s14 with dazz matiz 19" wheels, but i have no idea about an s13

depends whether you have or plan to lower your car or change your gear ratio. 19's will fit but will throw your gearing off and if you lowered the car you'd have to modify the wheel wells. 17's look great with the car lowered. I had mine dropped 2" and it looks sweet.

ever driven a car with 19s? do it first before you buy. theyll be super heavy with a rough ride. and remember to check tire prices. 19s are usually double the cost of 17s

19's are more for Sedans, Trucks, and SUV's.
Don't do it to your 240. I wouldn't even do it to a
300ZX.
