SR20det install questions (turbo lines, manifold)

I'm getting my sr20det ready to install into my 98 chassis next weekend and had a couple questions...I've heard I should not put my turbo and manifold on the motor until it is the car. True or not? Secondly, on stainless steel turbo lines, what do you use so that the thread is sealed? pipe tape, some sort of goop? Help me out if you can...

Thanks, Ryan

You're going to be making a it much harder on yourself if you put on the manifold/turbo with the engine in the car. It'll drop right in like a charm if you didn't change your manifold/turbo. If you did, it depends on how much research you've done regarding clearance.

I'm not sure about the fittings. I used hondabond to seal most of my oil threads/oil pan/water pump, etc. Basically anywhere the manual specified use of liquid gasket. I know it's high-temp resistant, but I don't know if it's high temp resistant on a turbo oil inlet..

Ther manifold is an HKS stock upgrade (still bottom mount), and the turbo is a modified t28. You'd think clearance would be the same or extremely similar right?
