KA What do I need to know when upgrading my fuel system?

So this is probably a noob question but...i dont care.

I going to upgrade my fuel pump to a Walbro 255, and a new OEM Z32 fuel filter..
is there anything I need to know when upgrading this stuff?
I read somewhere that if I'm upgrading my fuel pump, I need a FPR? this true?

Is there anything else I should upgrade/replace since i'm already down there?

btw..i have a '91 240sx (KADE) fastback.

Why are you going to be using a walbro? If your still gonna be n/a its pointless to change it out.

But I guess to answer your noobie question you would need an adjustable fpr so that your not running crazy rich. Otherwise you'll be way too rich. The factory ka tune is already a little too rich as it is with the stock pump.

Well, to answer your first question..my current fuel pump is going bad..so I need to replace it anyways.
I already have the Apexi AFC Neo hooked up to my car.

So should I just get an OEM replacement fuel pump?
Is there anything else that I should consider replacing?

cool beans.

know wheres a good place to purchase one from?
i found TRE Performance (TRE Performance Inc. - SPEC AFR Canton Corbeau RC Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pumps) for $50..
they make their own with 1 yr warranty..just never heard of them before..

should i replace the fpr?
is there anything else i should consider replacing?
i prefer to do things all at once than just waiting for problems to come up.
its safe to assume everything on this car is stock..

only thing i've added was an exhaust, air filter, and suspension parts.

You also need:

1. New "O" ring that sits around you fuel sending unit or what ever they call it

2. You need a FPR for sure

some extra fuel hose, because you are going to reroute your fuel return and delivery, replacing all your old fuel hoses is a good idea.

ill c what else i remember and keep you posted

EDIT:

Here ya go, order this bitch before you swap you shit

http://www.ebay.com/itm/89-94-Nissan...858c83&vxp=mtr

This FPR will work fine if your on a budget, you just need to drill some wholes to match on that little part that goes on the fuel rail return side, and some small "O'' Rings from auto zone to go in between so you wont leak

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Bl...904bb6&vxp=mtr

As far as a fuel pump, just go with a Walbro to be on the safe side

ok..im getting different responses here..

So i need Fuel Pump, FPR, O-Ring, hoses(?)

fuel pump options;
-Walbro 255
-TRE Performance (OE replacement)

FPR options;
-using current stock OE
-eBay FPR
-quality FPR(suggetions?)
(fyi, i dont want to get something that'll fail on me or not work correctly. i'm not exactly a 16 yr old kid with no money. more like 27 with a well paying job, not married, no gf..just me and my 240~)

O-Ring; ok.
Hoses; know exact sizes/lengths? or just replacements i can pick up?

if your fuel pump is going out then replace that with an oem unit since you plan on leaving your stock, and replae the O-ring that seals the sending unit to the tank. Done. Unless you have reason to believe your fpr is shit leave it alone, and unless you notice your fuel lines are cracking/rotting then leave them alone too.

well if your going to put a after market fpr and fuel pump and filter, might as well change them since u might reroute them to your new fpr

If he wants to keep it reliable then he should just replace everything with OEM parts so there would be no reason to reroute any lines at all. When/if he goes vq later on he can put together a proper fuel system for that setup which I'd bet will be completely different than what he would try to do just to keep his ka stock and reliable. But if he insists on going aftermarket on that gear then sure, why not chanhe it all out, but he'll probably end up having to redo some or all of it again when he starts his swap.

Courtesyparts.com; thenismoshop.com; any factory online parts supplier will carry a factory fuel pump. Hell, drive to your local Nissan dealer and order one, it'll only take a few days for it to get there.
