s13 sr20det starter possibly?

Long story short...
<br>
<BR>
SR'ed my hatch (RnD factory...big mistake)
Past 2 times when i turn the key, car does not fire. CD player, lights, etc. all work perfectly. With that in mind, my assumptions lead me to believe that the alternator and battery are ok.
<BR>
More into detail...
i engage the clutch, key is inserted, car doesn't fire. At the turn of the key, noise is barely heard.
Could there be anything else causing the problem?
what should i look/listen for?
<BR>
if it is the starter, wheres the starter located? Any special considerations when removing a starter from a s13 sr motor?
I've used several search engines in search of replacement and starter/location/detail discussions and have yet to be successful.
<BR>
your input is greatly appreciated!

sr location is in the same as ka i believe. Under intake mani, connected to tranny. Try jumping the starter manually, either that or try pushing starting it. I had a similair problem, but i was able to push start it and jump the starter manually. I had to bypass my clutch relay (or whatever you call it).

can't help with the trouble diagnosis but search for factory service manual(FSM) to find location of starter.

...... it's right under the intake manifold.
