electric ecu looking box in my way! 5 speed conversion

I've looked and it seems no one addresses this issue. I am doing a 5 speed conversion on a 95 s14 and there is a "mini ecu" looking thing where the clutch pedal mounts. I took it down for easier access but when I went to put it back up I realized that the clutch pedal is completely in the way. what is this box? does it have to do with the auto trans? could i just disconnect it if that is the case? Thanks for any advice

Just tuck it behind the steering wheel. I just finished a 5 speed swap. On s13 second one I've done and I just tucked both of them.

Just unplug it. Its easy. If you look at the fsm, you clearly dont need it by looking at the pinouts. its the automatic transmission control module
