General question

theres something wrong with my shifting, so how do i know if its the transmission, slave cylinder, clutch or shiftlink bushing etc... Im basically talking about all cars and not just the 240sx

Please post scenarios if you can. Like i know its the clutch that has to be replaced when it slips. master slave cylinder when you have to pump it multiple times to get it into gear etc...

Don't see how this needed its own thread, you could've searched and seen how to diagnose your problem
Just start off with the easiest first. Check if you have any leaks from the master and slave cylinder.
Press and depress the clutch and have someone see if the slave cylinder is working properly
