Need help with motor harness wiring
I bought a new s13 shell, it previously had an sr which is probably irrelevant. I took the s14 ka out of my other s13 shell, and swapped it into the new shell. Wouldn't start. Wouldn't do anything actually.
So here are my questions. 1. What should be connected to the positive battery terminal? And the negative? 2. The fuel pump is hardwired to the battery/switch. As in there's a power wire going from the battery to a switch to the pump, and a ground going from the pump to the switch to the negative terminal. Will that work? 3. The starter is also wired like this. Except it's a momentary switch. Will this also work? 4. How exactly does the ACC get power? The pump turns on, the starter spins. But there's no spark. I think this is basically the same as the first question though.. Before anyone says anything, 1. Yes I've searched. 2. No I'm not posting this in the small questions thread. If I did I would likely barely get any answers I need. Any help is appreciated. |

I'm in high school with a minimum wage job saving up for college and to move out. Why would I spend money on something that I already have.
I have the same harness that was in the car, but decided to take it into my own hands and wire up those two things, whether it was a good idea or not. Either way, there were no wires cut in the harness, only on the fuel pump. |

download a book on automotive electrics, read that first. most of the things, like the fuel pump need relays and fuses . have a fire extinguisher handy. a big one. its too many things to explain through a forum, i guess you dont know the basics. i don't know much about electrics either, but my mate is an electrician and redid my whole car that i just bought, it was a REAL mess. so yeah, download or buy a book, read up, that's how you learn.
