Frozen its all Frozen

Wow ive never seen thise before.  I live in south carolina we are lucky if it snows once a year.  Today it snowed, rained ,sleted, and froze.  I went to look under my hood of my baby(240) and it was FRozen shut.  So was the passenger door.  Never in my life has this happened.  Living down here is kinda funny tho.  If we have snow fluryies or anything school get canceled and life shuts down.  Is it like this anywhere else?

we've got almost 2ft of snow now.....everything still open. i even flew IN Sun night...airport was fine. main roads are clear, side streets snowy. ahhh, the frozen north!

Yeah, you get used to driving in the snow. It's really not that bad once you get some practice. Actually it can be a lot of fun if you know what you're doing <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

It rains alot and i like that bc i can control fish tails and its fun. &nbsp;I want to go to a parking lot and have a drift session in this snow but my 240 is down

LoL... 98 was a good year. &nbsp;last year was pretty insane too. &nbsp;There was one weekend it snowed 3 days straight.... I drove I-91 to I-84 to a snow packed I-384 (around 60 miles total) in a lowered S13 on Cooper Cobras. &nbsp;There were around 10 or so cars spun out on my way.... and I was laughing at all the FWD cars while chugging through. &nbsp;That was a fun drive.... ..can't say I'm not a dedicated boyfriend (well, not that we're still together... so I guess &quot;I'm not&quot; = &quot;I wasn't&quot;)

well, i'm in nc n as of now we r just gettin' the effects of everything coming up this way. it's kinda switchin' between snow n hail right now, but it's the first time so far this year, but ####, just last week i was out there w/ like some jeans a shirt.

well 3 days ago down here it was short sleaves and now its snow and 30 degree's. South carolina is just wierd. &nbsp;Oh well well i say a couple neons just fly off the road when i went to go get my mom just now. &nbsp;little fwd drive cars cant compar to a jeep wranger. &nbsp;i donno how my 240 would have done. &nbsp;THey only use 1 wheel dont they?

I dont know about the Global warming but people down here dont see ice to much. &nbsp;I live on a Really step hill, and people are sleding down the Road. &nbsp;Some body just hit the curb and cut a couple flips. &nbsp;God i love the south=)

yes, snow = fun.. &nbsp;I live in Charlotte, NC. &nbsp;plenty of snow around now.. (for us at aleast) &nbsp;Weather man is expecting snow till about 3pm tomorrow.. &nbsp;I hope he's right.. &nbsp;I REALLLY don't wanna go to work tomorrow. &nbsp;PLEASE~! bring more SNOW~!

All two wheel drive open differential cars only use one wheel at a time. &nbsp;Actually, so do limited slip. &nbsp;They just oscillate between the two too quickly to really notice one or the other is turning. &nbsp;The only time you get both turning is when you have a locking differential. &nbsp;I.E. Detroit, Truetrac, or spool. &nbsp;There's always the popular logger locker. &nbsp;(Welding the spider gears together, essentially making a spool)

In case you don't know, the reason for one wheel turning only is because the other wheel has to &quot;walk around&quot; the power wheel's axleshaft. &nbsp;That's what spider gears are for. &nbsp;Since the inside wheel on a turn has to scribe a smaller arc than the outside, it has to turn slower. &nbsp;To get a better idea of how this works, find a differential and examine it. &nbsp;If you were to slow one wheel completely to a stop, the other would turn. &nbsp;That's why the wheels go opposite ways when you spin it with the car on jackstands.

Actually, the planet SHOULD be going through a cooling trend (yes, over the next few millenia we will enter another ice age, it's that time of. . . time again). The excess of greenhouse gasses is preventing this so far, which is where all the global warming bullshit comes from. Make no mistake though, you don't want to live in Canada in five or six thousand years. On the bright side, Nevada should be wet again <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

As far as eratic weather goes, few areas have a wierder climate than northern Nevada. Temperatures commonly change by more than 50 degrees in a day (like a pleasant 80 degrees down to below freezing). Fun stuff I tell you <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> Spring and Fall you can leave in the morning in shorts and a t-shirt, and get snowed on by two. . . in June. . .

Now on to things that matter, like cars in the snow. Where I live, there is frequent enough snow in the winter so people know how to deal with it. Still, I always see a good collection of cars spun out on the highways, and y'all know who it usually is. . . The 4wd yokels that think they're unstoppable 'cause all of their wheels turn. Funny funny stuff.
