s13 1993 240sx Code 32 Question.

So I just got back from the local mechanic and what he said really confused me. My check engine light is on because of Code: 32 EGR System. The problem in the EGR is the "Transducer" what the hell is that? lol I cant find it anywhere online. Idk what this guy wants me to get. What is the transducer and where can I find one? and sorry for being a noob. Just bought this car need it to pass smog so this problem needs to fixed asap! Any help guys?

try to clean your EGR temperture sensor thats in the intake, google it or look at the FSM for the location. also clean all of your EGR parts to see if that clears up the code

Yea I thought it was the temp sensor as well. But I guess it turns out the EGR transducer and Temp sensor are 2 different things? This mechanic is confusing the hell out of me.

yes the BPT is the transducer. BPT = Back Pressure Transducer. its the valve that connects to the EGR valve using the little rubber elbow hose.

The bottom of the vac tube that hooks to the bottom of the BPT has a tendency to rot out or get kinked when they get old.
