s14 s14 tension rod problem?

ok so here is the problem......
the car befor i put the tension rods would shake between 60 and 80 but it was very little and maybe a little bit more when i got off the gas but it was never a big deal. i brought it to a shop months ago for a differnt problem and they said i needed tension rods.

so a few days ago got new tension rods(isis) matched them up the best i could be for putting them in. after putting them in at like 60 you can feel it start pulling to the right alittle and shaking and any thing over 65 the car shakes so much it might fall apart.any ideas???

in the morning it was driving fine with a very little shake(stock tension rods) that went away with increased speed then 4 hours later(w/new isis tension rods) cant even go over 65 with out feeling like the car is going to shake apart

/\/\/\/\ what he said.
What condition are your tires in? If they're same size front and rear you might consider rotating them as well. I've seen tires with separating tread cause some straaaaaaange problems.

Are your tie-rods bad?

Jack up your front end and see if you can shake your wheels/tires

99% of the time its shitty tires. However s14's do have a steering rack problem nobody has mentioned. Theres a spring in the rack that looses tension as the car gets older. It's a total pita to replace, but I thing nico has a writeup.

superblacks14- i dont think its that cause it was fine when i drove to pick the tension rods up did nothing during the drive that would unbalance them.

thez31guy- ive checked i jacked it up also to see if the wheel its self was loose but every thing solid

Jesus Christ...you ask us what to check for and makes multiple fucking threads asking the same fucking thing. We tell you what to check, but like a fucking cum bubble, you refuse to listen to us and check what we told you. Shit takes 5 mins to check for everything we've told you. Go jump off a fucking bridge and be done with it.

Get alignment, rotate balance tires, lift front and grab tie rod and see if they have any give or movement.

Maybe we should stop telling people to check because they most likely do not know how to "check" if a part is okay. Kinda reminds me of a kid with an S14 couldn't start his car and I told him to check/replace his start. Kid went off and replaced the clutch switch instead.
