Distributor wiring question - obdII - Altima plug
No spark, car will not start. OBDI chassis, obdII motor & dizzy. I wired these according to KA to SR diagram floating around. Now one black wire is melted and I'm thinking I may have wired this incorrectly.
I think the multi-colored plug came off an Altima - fits perfectly. Anyone know which wires go where? ![]() |

I think I found the problem but haven't fixed it yet:
Pins 5 & 6 were reversed. Orange wire is connecting to pin 5 on the dizzy (12V). I had this wired to a black wire (ground of some sort). Pin 6 (black wire) should go to a ground, but I had it wired to the power wire (black/white). The black/white wire was melted pretty badly. Car was not getting any spark or fuel. Probably b/c crank angle sensor was not getting power. Q: could this wiring fiasco have fried my ecu? Anyone looking for a distributor pin diagram, here it is: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...b61DyWR0oUw-gQ |
