sr20det issue with reving

I have an sr. s13

i have replaced the following

tps
cts
cas
maf
fuel pump
injectors
fuel filter
orings on injectors

okay, So its not all the time but every couple start ups, my car will respond to 5 out 10 revs that i give it? And then when it does if i hold it at like a steady amount of throttle, say 4000? Itll go up and down like its hitting a rev limiter..

gas tank got rust? Check that, had the same exact problem.

nah was mint inside and out..checked..

car is throwing code for 34..and 12. Knock sensor and maf, also cam angle sensor.. Was wondering if knock sensor could be throwing all this shit off?

I replaced knock sensor while the motor was out of the car. thinking about trying the resister trick to see if it fixes it, then order a new one.

you can try the resistor trick, but the knock sensor retards timing when it detects knock.
And i am not really sure what you mean 5/10 revs,
like if u tap the gas pedal for .5 seconds, it doesnt respond in rpms?

no im saying, If i rev the car ten times. five out of those ten times it will actually rev the other 5 it wont respond to them. straight from throttle body so i know its not a pedal issue..

I had that issue just recently but mine actually threw a code 55. I found the problem that my turbo seized on causing the engine to run richan retards the timing. Check fuel filter too could be clogged.


And take care of those codes to narrow your search

Run continuity test on your maf wire too. Hope u didnt cross some wires there.
