KA No fuel/Starter Ka24de Help

Alright so when I bought my 240 it had a knocking motor, thus pulled engine-trans and after i put the engine and trans back in. and after hooking everything back up i cannot get a proper connection to start or get the fuel pump to prime, the car will not do anything all I see when i try to start the car is the battery light. I blew my alt fuse and another fuse but replaced them both. I was wondering if this could be an ecu problem or is there a main fuse or relay i maybe fried. any help will be amazing! Its a 91 240sx s13 hatch. with a ka24de

i had a similar problem, long story short, it ended up being a plug under the dash not properly connected. if it was working before you pulled the motor it cant be to serious. go over your wiring, prob a loose connection somewhere

well I have been working on tracing down the problem, Ive come up with one thing since ive seen and looked over my wiring diagrams. there is a little box behind the engine I am curious about, its bolted to the firewall and the relays are all good. and i arced the positive cable and it blew the alt fuse and like i said another fuse. Is there a main fuse inside the car or somewhere where i can check?

Need a bit more info. I really suck at electrical but I'll try to help.

Is the fuel pump the only thing not working?
Are you getting spark? Do you have power inside the car, dash lights and stuff?
Did you check the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box by the battery?
Are all the wires and the connector good at the fuel pump?

If the fuel pump is the only problem, you can pull it out and hook it up direct to 12v to test. It's not much work. At least that'll tell you if the pump is bad, before you go crazy trying to find a wire problem that might not be there.

The only lights are on in the whole care I have nothing at all but the oil light and the battery light., the clock or lights or anything else doesn't come on. But I've had to replace the alt fuse with a 80 wat maxi fuse but when I turn the key they dim a little I'm trying to determine if my ecu is bad I have two. But yeah anything you can offer will be helpfull.

Sounds like the same problem I had man. Did u try the other ecu? Or even disconnect and reconnect the ecu plug?
The problem I had was under the steering column by the fuse panel. There is a square electrical plug, im not sure what its called, it connects the same way as the ecu plug does with the 10mm bolt. When I put mine in I never had it tight enough, it felt tight and I didn't want to snap or break anything, but all it took was a few more turns and everything powered up.
Of course this was after I checked and replaced everything else possible.

Did you mess with any of those plugs? If not then its probabaly not your trouble.
Do you have the dash plugs connected by the ecu? Hope ya find the problem soon, I know it drove me insane.
