Brake Light

Hello,

Can someone please look at this video and tell me why my left brake light is turning off instead of illuminating? It is definitely not the bulb, I switched the two and it did the same thing. Also checked the stop lamp fuse and tail fuse.

Your wiring is fucked. Something on that side is either crossed or grounding out.

Trace the wiring for the that light. It could be just as simple as a bad ground. See where its grounded and make sure its not corroded.

use a piece of wood to press the pedal down so you can get around to the back and check it out

When I bought new taillights, I ended up buying new inner assemblies as well. Those plastic things, bulb harnesses and wiring seem to go bad after all these years.
