What's the most damage youve done to that little engine that couldn't?

brother threw a rod right through the side of a ka24e block, thats what 7200rpm and 200,000km does i guess. hole was about the size of a tennis ball.

something bad happened to my ka24e and squished the spark plug making it about 3/8 inch shorter.

blew rings out a supercharged xterra

dropped the spark plug electrode in a ka24e and it didnt treat that cylinder too nicely.

probably more i cant remember

Threw a rod threw a engine that had less than a mile on the rebuild and then set the next one on fire.

I bought a sohc hatch several years ago that had a knock for $200 bucks, I was going to swap a dual cam in so i terminated the motor by slinging a rod thru the block on the drivers side, it still ran so i continued on and it caught the engine bay on fire while i was drving it, a buddy following me noticed and flagged me down. We didnt have anything to put it out with and when the Fire department got to us, the whole car was engulfed in flames in the middle of the road, we live in the country so it was peacful watching it burn. I was pissed because an optima battery died in the fire but later i wasnt mad anymore. Good times.

Putting a rod thru the block is more common than I thought. I did it on a sunfire. made a big scene oil was so hot it caught the grass around it on fire the neighbors freaked an called the fire department etc etc lol

Also snapped a cam gear on my hardbody off and jammed it in the case ( still can't get it out ha)

Mine wasn't as bad as most of these. Cooked the HG on my SR. Heater hose sprung a leak (it was looped) and my temp gauge decided to not work. Noticed something was wrong when I let off the gas, checked my rear view and the highway behind me was completely blocked by a huge cloud of smoke coming out of my exhaust.

I had 100 shot of NOS once, luckily it didn't blow the welds off the intake. But I did have to go find a mad scientist to help me rip apart the block and replace the piston rings that were fried.

I remember that I had a R34 with a Gallo 24 car had so much torque the chassis twisted right of the line

Not an engine but I had the driveshaft on my s14 explode on I-95 in Florida at about 85mph. Sounded like a bomb going off. I got lucky and it broke away from the car before it came all the way through the trans tunnel and took my leg off at the hip.

i did this on my bike, but mine was the electrode on the plug breaking off, jamming under the intake valve, breaking the head of the valve off which then jammed under the exhaust valve, which simultaneously broke the head off of the exhaust valve and jammed it sideways AND pushed the intake valve head through the piston. The piston had a hole in it almost perfectly shaped like a hershey kiss, haha
