What options do I have for my HKS cams? (pics)

The car/motor itself had been sitting for a while. It was started and ran not too long ago.

I open it up to find this-





I had one guy say not to worry about it, another said to get some material he named and get it smooth.

are they cams done for? or am i still able to salvage it.

Usually there are tabs that have the type. All i know is that this is a metal one.
