Ive been piecing together a budget roofrack from yakima and have come across a problem with the q clips hitting my windows.

Is this the way Im supposed to install them, also the measurements that yakima gave me for the distance between the towers seems a little long as the pads rest on the metal trim.

Anyone got pictures of how they have their rack set up?
