Driving back to MI....

Today I drove back to MI from MD. All was swell until I got into PA and gas light was pulsating on and off on a full tank of gas. When I hit ohio the light was bright orange and glowing as if I had no gas meanwhile my tank is fine. Has anyone experienced this before? I mean gas gauge works fine and all.

P.S. It raind the whole trip. Could water have done anything?

you have a 12 year old car. your defroster doesnt work. your gas light is messed. your ciggy lighter is broke. I am guessing you have some bad electrical lines. what I would do though to try and fix prob is get some tools. then fix it. or your fuel pump assembly thing might be bad but id think that it would start reading you bad info on the guage before it made light issues.

just start replacing parts that influence the gas light/guage until the problem is solved.
