![]() Question :
Will a True Garrett GT2871R (DBB) turbo Fit 1:1 To the Flange on the RB20DET? I want to get rid of that ceramic Turbo the day the engine gets to my house. And I have a practically new GT2871R anyone know? Also what about down pipe? is it also that weird garrett 5 ( or 6 ) uniquely shaped pattern? Also How well does the RB20 ECU play with an AEM FIC? I plan to use the FIC to tune my 60lb injectors and more boost ( maximum 15-18psi on the 2871 ) This is my very first 240sx, and very first RB ( will be the second RB engine I have ever seen in person in my life ) |

well if the 2871R exhaust flange is a T25 style and the RB being a T3 flange then no it wont just bolt up.
Look for a company called Hyper Gear. They make bolt on turbo upgrades for the RB's. Raw Brokerage sells them

Thanks! for letting me know what the Flange type was on the RB. Definitely not steering away from the 2871R lol, my 2871 is modified, It's good for 450+hp and Spools super fast. Had it modded by a company Called Tripoint ( for mazdas, my other car ) Guess I'm gonna have to find a Manifold to go with it, or have my manifold modded.

looks nice! I am not sure if my hotside will fit in that
are the Hotside Wheel diameters the same between the RS and 71R? If so, I might be buying this from you like monday |

If you're on a budget get a 50 TRIM T04E with a T3 Hot Side with a Stage 3 Standard Garret Style Turbine Wheel. Peak Boost is a decent place to buy one or you can peep around else-ware just don't get the Chinese crap ebay turbo. The 50 trim is amazing and amazingly affordable. 400-425 whp at 19-20 PSI.
