Painting
Im wondering what i can do to paint a small panel on my car that I have removed...I want it to look as close to the stock shine and color as the rest of the car, but its badly rusted on the inside. Im going to clean it up and primer it, but after that, what would be the correct process to paint it properly using spray cans? (I might just go have it done if it proves too hard.)

If you want it done properly and if you want it to look good I wouldn't use spray cans.

I just sanded and sprayed with a spay can.. my car is a ever so getting closer to a beat drift car.. I only sprayed my lip tho .. see pic below. I know a few peps that spray painted sideskirts and bumpers with spray cans and from a few feet back, you cant tell.

To steal a link from a former poster:
http://www.paintscratch.com They sell factory colors (their copy of OEM colors)...available in cans also. Pricey tho...maybe like $25/can....but....it'll be closer than any Pep Boys colors. The way to do it...to make it look good....is to give it like 3 coats....then wetsand off 2 of them with fine grit sandpaper (800 or higher I think)...then put 3 coats of clear coat.....sand off 2....then buff it out. By sanding down a few of the coats, you'll ensure the paint is the same height everywhere and will looks even. -m
