SR20DET redtop ECU code problem

I have a 63 ECU for my redtop SR20det and when I turn the screw near the LED counter clockwise and turn the key on it just stays red. What does that mean?

I've searched high and low and it seems that almost no one has this problem. The only hit I found was someone said a red light means a blown ecu. But my car runs. It can't be blown. It doesn't run perfectly, but it runs.

I just recently had the same problem. The LED light would stay on sometime and my car would sputter/misfire occasionally. After taking the (+)battery terminal off for about 30mims to 1hr it would sometime fix the issue. But it wasn't always guaranteed to work. So I talked to Martin @ R.S. Enthalpy and he informed me that my ECU was malfunctioning. He said that a properly working ECUs LED should be on while the engine is off but the the key is "on". But it should go off immediately once the car is running. So do what I did and buy another ECU.

You have to turn it fully clock wise, then back counter clock wise to get the ECU in and out of different modes.
