s13 6 speed internals

I have been wanting to do a 6 speed conversion on my s13. I have been reading and from what I understand the 6 speed sr20 internals fit the 5 speed sr20 housing. Unfortunatly I haven't found where I can get the internals. Does anyone happen to know where I can get them from and possibly how much they cost?

I know that SPL parts carries or can get OS Giken 5-spd gears. You might call them to see if they(or OS Giken) have the 6-spd. I also remember seeing on the HKS site, when they only had a list off ALL the parts they had, having the whole 6-spd transmission. I can't find it on their site now though so you'd have to call them and see.

No they are completely different trannys, the internals will almost definetly not swap. which means SR only, and you have to use the 6spd case too (which means 6 spd flywheel etc....)
I will be selling a full 6spd swap for s13/s14 chassis w/ swswap soon enough.....

you can do a 6-speed internals into an sr tranny, then put it on your KA with the KA bellhousing

the trannies are different manufacturers...
the output shaft is way thicker then the 5 spd...
the flywheel is very different...
the casings are 2 peice instead of 3 pc iirc

I dont have proof BUT ...The Z32 and Sr20(s13 for sure) transmission are said to fit on the KA engine as long as you keep the bellhousing from the KA. Mounting points are said to be the same. As far as driveshaft lengths, i know the sr20 tranny is the same, i dont know about the z32. Output shaft? i dont know.

All statements above exclude the s15 6-speed tranmission. Now someone above said you could swap the internals into the s13 case, so i know the case fits on the KA...the only thing is input/output shafts (splines/diameter) that i'm not sure about.

ive always been told the ka and sr tranny are the same gears and such....that many parts would interchange...just a few things different

the flywheels interchange as long as the clutch matches the flywheel.i.e.s14 clutch/flywheel into s15.but the transmission housings are way different.the 6speed breaksdown into 3 pieces.someone else can verify,i think the s13/s14's break into 2 pieces.

the clutches do (95% sure) interchange (s13/s14 --->s15)
but the flywheels do not
